Jim found his love for music inside his mothers womb when she played Elvis through headphones, placed over her stomach. That's when he also discovered his love for cherry pie, seeing as it was Mom's only craving during pregnancy. Born in Illinois in the year of 1985, Jim spread his musical roots from Elvis to Black Crowes and Deep Purple, when Dan (a member of his first band BENT) gave him the two cd's to listen to. Jim has been a frontman since the age of 14, recording his first song "Good Intent" at the same age. He since has developed a set of exhaust pipes to rumble your ass to the front of the stage! Jim has also picked up the 6 string along the way. Jim's role in Badd Habit is to rock the vocals along with singer Kristin and play his ever so adored guitar "Darcy," a 2007 Ibanez AE (when allowed to).

His first guitar had 3 strings and a crank handle that played "Pop Goes the Weasel" over and over. (and over and over) Listening to the playing styles of guitar legends such as Muddy Rivers, Johnny Waters and Marvin Berry, John knew early on that this was his calling. Trading that 3 string, wind-up guitar for a 1980 Les Paul was the beginning of a life long journey into obscurity. After years of playing in bands such as Dedd Rabbit and Sadd Bobbit, John finally emerged as a middle aged white guy. Fate intervened and in 2007 John met Tommy "Gunn" Bonlender and the two of them searched the globe (aka Metro-Milwaukee) to find the right partners to form "BaDD HabiT". The rest, as they say, is pending. John's role in Badd Habit is to provide a second-to-none combination of backdrop power chords and the chunk-chunk driving rhythm that has become his trademark.

A long, long time ago, I can still remember how that bass always makes me smile. I drove my ford down to guitar center and they had her hanging up calling my name. I looked up and said baby, you and I collide. It started with one thing, I don't know why, It doesn't even matter how hard I tried I couldn't keep that bass oughtta my mind.
